The best things in life are free… or so the adage goes. But in the world of quality, safety, and operations management, “free” isn’t typically the best solution.
While many organizations utilize spreadsheets or even pen and paper to track their compliance and quality scores, those manual processes can be time-consuming at best and a public health crisis at worst.
When items are found to be out of compliance—whether that is a faulty swimming pool filter, a malfunctioning refrigerator, or damaged flooring—it is vital to immediately notify and hold accountable those individuals who are responsible for corrective action. Time is of the essence when you need to prevent water illness, food poisoning, or a slip-and-fall injury.
Cloud-based Quality Management Software automates the process, end-to-end. It allows you to gather better data, see necessary actions earlier, and act faster to correct issues before they become costly liabilities.
Ways to Save with Quality Management Software
Moving from a manual process where the only cost is personnel, to an automated process that involves a software purchase, can be a profound change. You wonder if the investment is worthwhile, if anyone will lose their job, and how you’ll ask for the budget. You might be surprised to know how much money you’ll save by making the switch.
Save on Time
Time is money and manual processes are more time consuming than you probably realize. RizePoint users typically experience 25%-time savings, like Avendra, who actually saw more than 37%-time savings.
“Using RizePoint we’ve been able to reduce our audit time from 11 hours per audit to 8 hours per audit,” said Ed Thompson, VP of Quality Assurance for Avendra.
This frees up your auditors’ time so they can train and educate employees, shoulder-to-shoulder, on your brand’s best practices.
Save on Damage Control
RizePoint users also reduce noncompliance rates when auditors have time to either visit more locations or visit each location more frequently. With corrective actions automated within the software, our users cut down their time spent assigning and following up on corrective action plans.
Implementing action plans as soon as possible is essential to avoiding costly noncompliance missteps. Nobody wants to be the next Chipotle; its improper food handling practices put 21 people in the hospital and caused sales to plummet as much as 36% in January 2016 according to Forbes.com.
But an increase in compliance not only has the potential to save you money it can also translate into more sales thanks to the better quality and customer experience. And that’s not just talk.
“By using RizePoint for our in-store audits, we’ve simplified and improved our process for identifying performance gaps,” said Joe Turner, CEO of First Sun Management Corp., a Wendy’s Franchisee Company. “As a result of our improved quality, our store sales have improved.”
How do you know how much you could save when you switch to compliance software? We put together a RizePoint ROI calculator to help you see what you could gain with RizePoint software. All you need to do is estimate your number of locations, number of audits, time spent on audits, and auditor salary—the calculator will take care of the rest.
Your company is already investing in software for marketing, sales, accounting, HR, and more. Moving from a manual process to automated Quality Management software will save you both time and money. Let us show you how. Schedule a demo today.

Hard Rock International (HRI) is one of the most iconic brands. With venues in 74 countries, including 178 cafes, 24 hotels, 10 casinos, and a collection of music memorabilia, Hard Rock is a world-renowned business.
Maintaining consistency across the hotel and casino portfolio can be challenging. Executing a brand standard with the unique voice, service standards, and experience that Hard Rock delivers requires robust quality assurance. The quality assurance standard for Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos includes an evaluation on the implementation and execution of its brand standards. These brand standards identify and differentiate each property as “Hard Rock.”
Brand Compliance Trends for 2018
Brand experts predict that 2018 will be the year when brands deploy technology to ensure transparency, identity, and real-time damage control. Businesses recognize that in order to build strong relationships with customers, they must maintain and execute brand compliance. HRI was an early adopter of harnesses mobile technology to help streamline and monitor the brand compliance process. In 2018 we predict more businesses will adopt mobile- and cloud-based solutions to improve the quality management process. Further, ensuring brand compliance requires functionality beyond operational checklists; franchise locations will adopt technology for business intelligence and automated corrective action capabilities to enable franchise-wide brand compliance.
Evaluations that Rock
Since 2015, RizePoint has been providing HRI the tools they need to operate efficiently and constantly improve brand compliance results. Before RizePoint, HRI had been completing brand compliance evaluations through annual property visits with an extensive executive team. While the meetings were productive, the expense of travel and limited reporting visibility led HRI’s quality assurance team to look for a way to streamline the evaluation process. Hard Rock International’s quality assurance team chose RizePoint because its functionality went beyond operational checklists and enabled franchise-wide brand compliance.
With RizePoint, HRI made three major improvements to the evaluation process:
- Using Mobile Auditor, property managers start their year knowing that non-compliant items could be addressed year-long, and both the property manager and support center can reach best practices and possible solutions quickly.
- By utilizing RizePoint Corrective Action Management (CAM feature), HRI property managers have the tools they need to organize, prioritize, and address non-compliant items daily.
- By creating ongoing brand improvement conversations, the new evaluation process increased brand compliance by more than 10%. After improving the evaluation process, HRI identified additional uses to give them added value from the platform.
Hard Rock Rises Above
With RizePoint, HRI has ensured greater brand compliance by using technology to improve transparency, identity, and real-time non-compliant issues. As Kelli Gowan, quality assurance manager for HRI, put it, “The advantages of Mobile Auditor—using a tablet for inspecting forms, with the ability to document via text and images and automatically generate reports—well, the system sells itself. There’s no going back to Excel!”

RizePoint, the leader in quality experience management software, today announced that it is a finalist in the 2017-2018 Cloud Awards Program for best cloud business intelligence solution.
RizePoint was selected as a finalist for its robust business intelligence tools used by the world’s top food service, hospitality, and retail brands. The RizePoint solution offers two business intelligence features: management dashboards and search-driven analytics (SDA). Management dashboards provide a dynamic user interface with quick, at-a-glance visibility into the voice of quality information users require. With Search-driven analytics, users can ask questions, analyze data, and build pinboards to convey role-based data across the organization.
“RizePoint invested in Search-Driven Analytics after hearing from quality and operations managers that they were spending roughly one-third of their week responding to one-off questions from across the company,” said Frank Maylett, president and CEO, RizePoint. “Our purpose-built BI tools differentiate us from more than 80 competitors in the mobile inspection space.”
The RizePoint Quality Experience Management platform allows users to get better data from within their company, have full visibility into data and operations, and automate corrective action if any problems or opportunities for improvement are found.
Cloud Awards organizer Larry Johnson said: “Again, we have seen an overwhelming level of engagement from organizations of all sizes, each showing their commitment to cloud-based technologies and leveraging them in their own unique way. We have seen new levels of excellence in the submissions reviewed, and the judges have had great difficulty in categorizing those applications which should move further in the process.”
The cloud computing awards program celebrates excellence and innovation in the rapid-growth cloud computing market. Over 300 organizations entered, with entries coming from across the globe, covering the Americas, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Final winners will be announced on Tuesday 30 January 2018.
